Panel Lok Solutions for Robust Utility and Stormwater Drainage Systems

As an esteemed utility management service provider based on the east coast of Australia, Pipe Management Australia (PMA) specialises in ensuring the smooth operation of stormwater and utility systems. With over two decades of experience, we have supported cities, councils, and private organisations in identifying, solving, and maintaining drainage networks and related infrastructure. Through the 2024 acquisition of Pipe Lining, a respected Gold Coast business founded in 1996 by Anthony and Michael Barry, PMA has further expanded its expertise in pipe rehabilitation solutions, offering systems such as Fold and Form and Panel Lok lining repairs.

The Panel Lok system is one of the most advanced trenchless rehabilitation methods available today for large diameter pipes from DN750 to DN2500. It creates a new, structurally sound pipe within the old one without the need for extensive excavation. Designed on the Gold Coast and manufactured in Australia, Panel Lok provides an effective solution for gravity and low-pressure pipelines, stormwater systems, sewer lines, maintenance hole and wet well chambers. Its smooth inner surface enhances flow efficiency, while its structural rigidity ensures long-term durability.

Your Trusted Partner for Panel Lok Applications

With a team of nearly 240 highly trained professionals and more than 150 years of combined experience, PMA has established itself as a trusted partner for delivering superior results across an extensive range of rehabilitation methodologies, including with the versatile Panel Lok system.

Our focus on safety, quality, and environmental standards ensures that every project we undertake supports local communities while meeting industry regulations. We proudly collaborate with leading organisations, including Brisbane City Council, Unitywater, Transport for NSW and Sydney Water, reflecting our ability to handle projects of any scale or complexity.

Panel Lok was developed in Australia over 30 years ago to address the lack of large-diameter pipe rehabilitation systems for man-entry pipelines. The liner, made from rigid uPVC, features a smooth internal face and a ribbed backing to ensure a strong bond with grout and the existing pipe. Available in several profiles—14mm, 17mm, 20mm, and 25mm—it is suitable for diameters ranging from 750mm to 2500mm.

This innovative liner has been successfully installed in thousands of metres of pipelines, including a landmark 9 km project for Brisbane Water (now Urban Utilities), where the liner continues to perform exceptionally well after decades of operation. As an approved Sydney Water Deemed-to-Comply product, Panel Lok has become synonymous with structural integrity and proven performance.

Panel Lok Advantages

Panel Lok offers multiple operational advantages. It minimises loss of cross-section, requires no new access openings, and enables fast setup and pack-up—critical for projects impacted by weather events. Its fully grouted system guarantees a complete structural bond and smooth hydraulic flow, resulting in lower maintenance costs and improved long-term performance.

Panel Lok is non-corrosive and resistant to chemical attack,  including hydrogen sulphide (H₂S) gas commonly found in wastewater environments. This makes it ideal for sewer and stormwater applications not only in pipes, but also in wet wells and maintenance holes.

Combined with PMA’s complementary services, such as CCTV inspections, drain cleaning, vacuum excavation, and robotics, clients receive end-to-end infrastructure management with guaranteed quality outcomes.
