This year, Pipe Management Australia proudly joined Brisbane’s Convoy for Kids for the second consecutive year, with an impressive fleet of 15 trucks in the convoy. The event, which kicked off in the early hours of the morning, saw our teams rallying together for a cause that’s close to many hearts: supporting families and the children who receive care at Hummingbird House.
Why the Convoy for Kids Matters
The Brisbane Convoy for Kids, an anticipated annual event, is more than just a convoy; it’s a symbol of community spirit and compassion. Funds raised from the event go directly toward providing essential support for Hummingbird House, Queensland’s only children’s hospice. Hummingbird House offers specialised care to children facing serious health challenges, giving families a place to turn to for respite, comfort, and compassionate care in difficult times.
Through therapeutic programs and medical support, Hummingbird House provides families with a safe space where they can focus on spending quality time with their child. For PMA, the convoy is an opportunity to contribute to the incredible work Hummingbird House does and to give back to the community that supports us. We believe in being there for our community—just as our fleet of trucks stands ready to tackle challenging projects across the East Coast of Australia, our team is equally prepared to show up for meaningful causes like this.
John Adamo, one of PMA’s participants shared what being involved in the day means to him…
“Joining the convoy reminded me that sometimes a simple gesture, like showing up, can mean the world to families going through difficult times. We drove to let these families know they have a whole community standing with them, every step of the way.”

PMA’s Participation: More Than Just Trucks
With 15 of our finest trucks rolling out in the convoy, we were one of the proud supporters, showing up in full force to represent PMA’s commitment to the community. Each truck symbolised the shared dedication of our drivers, families, and the broader PMA team who make our impact possible. Throughout the day, PMA staff and families gathered at the showgrounds to support Hummingbird House’s mission, sharing moments of camaraderie and connection. Events like these reinforce PMA’s commitment to creating positive change, giving our team a chance to connect beyond day-to-day projects and contribute to something truly meaningful.
