PMA Exhibited at No-Dig Down Under 2025 in Melbourne

The No-Dig Down Under conference was held in mid-September this year. With many names from the utilities water industry attending, Pipe Management Australia was one of them. We even had the privilege of speaking at this years conference. We enjoyed seeing familiar faces and making new friends over the two days we were there.

Pipe Management Australia (PMA) was excited to be exhibiting at No-Dig Down Under 2025, one of the trenchless industry’s premier events. This two-day conference and exhibition is the southern hemisphere’s largest dedicated trenchless technology event – a must-attend for professionals in underground infrastructure. We couldn't wait to showcase our expertise, meet industry peers, and connect with clients old and new in Melbourne.

No-Dig Down Under 2025 & Converge Expo

For the first time, No-Dig Down Under was co-located with the Converge Expo – a brand-new conference focusing on infrastructure and municipal works. That meant that alongside all the latest in trenchless technology, attendees could also explore Converge’s showcases of cutting-edge tools and solutions in municipal, civil, and commercial construction industries.

In short, you got two great industry events under one roof. Whether you were there for trenchless innovations, broader infrastructure insights, or both, the combined No-Dig + Converge 2025 event offered something for everyone. It was a vibrant gathering of utility professionals, council representatives, engineers, contractors and more, all sharing knowledge and exploring the future of underground infrastructure.

What to Expect at PMA’s Stand

As a leading Australian utility management service provider, PMA was thrilled to bring our knowledge and technology to No-Dig Down Under 2025. At our stand (A13), our friendly team of experts were on hand to chat, and present our latest equipment and techniques for efficient pipeline maintenance and rehabilitation. We planned on showcasing our full cycle of services – from drain cleaning and maintenance through to high-tech CCTV inspection and trenchless pipe repairs – so it could be seen how we keep critical infrastructure flowing.

Visitors to our exhibit were able to learn about trenchless pipe rehabilitation up close. This included seeing our extensive range of liners and how sectional patching techniques can extend a pipe’s life without excavation. We also highlighted how we inspect and rehabilitate maintenance holes (also known as manholes) to fix leaks, restore structural integrity, and prevent infiltration. Our team takes pride in using innovative, non-disruptive methods to solve underground asset challenges – and we enjoyed sharing our insights and experience with the many people who came to the stand.

Reline Europe were also there! PMA is the exclusive Australian installer of RELINE’s renowned Alphaliner UV CIPP technology on the East Coast, and we’re proud to partner with the Reline team. In fact, Reline will also had a stand at the show, showcasing their advanced structural relining solution that PMA can install. With representatives coming from as far away as Germany, reline also had a stand not far from us – it was a great chance to meet the people behind the world-class lining products that PMA uses in the field.

PMA’s Services at a Glance

PMA offers comprehensive services to assess, maintain, and rehabilitate stormwater and sewer infrastructure. Some of our core capabilities include:

  • Pipe Cleaning: High-pressure water jetting and flushing to remove debris, sediment, and blockages, keeping drains and pipelines clear and functional.
  • CCTV Inspections: In-pipe video inspections to pinpoint issues without digging. Our camera units provide a detailed look inside pipes, helping identify cracks, obstructions, and structural problems quickly.
  • Pipe Rehabilitation: Structural repair and renewal of pipelines using trenchless methods. This includes trenchless relining (installing a durable liner within the old pipe to create a like-new pipe inside) and patching techniques for targeted fixes – all done with minimal digging and disruption.
  • Maintenance Hole Inspections: Detailed checks of maintenance holes (manholes) for signs of damage, leaks, or deterioration. We assess everything from the surface condition to the benching and chamber structure, ensuring these critical access points are safe and sound.
  • Maintenance Hole Rehabilitation: Repairing and refurbishing maintenance holes to extend their lifespan. We eliminate infiltration, restore integrity, and protect against future wear by relining with Panel Lok.

By covering everything from routine cleaning and inspection to advanced trenchless repairs, PMA delivers an end-to-end solution for keeping water and sewer networks in top shape. We bring over two decades of experience and a highly skilled crew, so you know your infrastructure is in knowledgeable hands.

The Future Is Fitted – Maintenance Hole Rehabilitation

One of the key highlights of PMA’s presence at this year’s No-Dig was the technical presentation by John Adamo and Ian McNab, titled “The Future is Fitted: How PMA is Redefining Maintenance Hole Rehabilitation with PVC Panel Lok.”

Future is fitted (1)

This session explored how Panel Lok — a factory-manufactured, precision-engineered PVC lining system — is transforming maintenance hole rehabilitation across Australia. Unlike traditional methods like epoxy coatings or CAC linings that rely on perfect conditions and skilled field workmanship, Panel Lok delivers a structural, corrosion-proof barrier that’s installed quickly and consistently.

With over 20 years of field-proven performance, including challenging sites like HMAS Cerberus and severely deteriorated assets in the City of Gold Coast, the system has demonstrated its ability to restore structural integrity, resist H₂S corrosion, and minimise community disruption. The presentation took listeners through the full installation process, technical design considerations, and advantages — showing how Panel Lok offers a safer, faster, and future-ready alternative to conventional rehabilitation techniques. For asset owners looking to future-proof their networks, it was an essential session not to be missed.
